Dahvi Jai Martin – Saturday, February 22

         Dahvi Jai Martin will be called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah at Congregation Ner Tamid on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

         Dahvi is the youngest daughter of Shannon and Dillon Martin and sister to Bayla Martin. Dahvi is a 7th grader at Thurman White Middle School majoring in art. Dahvi is very creative and spends a lot of her free time creating different art projects, and painting. Dahvi also enjoys tumbling and baking at home. Dahvi began Preschool at the Kantor ECEC when she was 18-months-old and has been an active member of CNT ever since. She is excited to celebrate this important milestone in her Jewish life. As part of her preparation, she has been studying Torah, learning prayers, and reflecting on what it means to give back to her community. Dahvi, along with her mom and sister, is a member of the National Charity League and enjoys volunteering in her community. She has already volunteered at various organizations for 30 hours in the 2024 school year. One of these volunteer opportunities inspired her Mitzvah Project. Dahvi is collecting clothing donations for Foster Kinship, www.fosterkinship.org, a local nonprofit organization that provides services and resources for families to provide safe, nurturing homes for children. One of their programs is the Caregiver Corner Market where families can obtain clothes and other necessities – one challenge they have is not having enough clothes that older kids and teens would like.
