Rabbi Akselrad and Cantor Hutchings just returned from a powerful trip to the Deep South with

CNT’s TRIBE Religious School students from the 9 – 12th grades and adult members of the CNT community.

They traveled from Atlanta to Birmingham to Montgomery and Selma.

One particular experience was personally poignant for Rabbi Akselrad as he explained to the group that his father,

Rabbi Sidney Akselrad, was involved in the Civil Rights movement.

Join us to listen to Rabbi Akselrad recount this experience in a sermon entitled, “The Power of Memory”

in which Rabbi will share rarely heard audio from 1965 of his father’s first hand report on the March on Selma.
