Sloan Crighton's Bat Mitzvah - Saturday, March 7, 5:00 p.m.

         Sloan Cynthia Crighton will be called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah on Saturday, March 7, at 5:00 p.m. Sloan is a 7th grader at Las Vegas Day School. She loves spending time with her friends and plays competitive soccer with the Las Vegas Storm. Sloan is also an accomplished gymnast and baker, and an amazing big sister to her brother, Atlas, and sister Harlow.

         Sloan is excited to celebrate her Bat Mitzvah at Congregation Ner Tamid, which has been a special place for her since she started Preschool there at 18 months old, and where she has made many long-lasting friendships.

         Sloan is supported by her parents, Ryan and Amy Crighton, and her grandparents, Ruth and Brian Kominsky, and Cynthia and Alistair Crighton.

         For Sloan’s Mitzvah project, she collected hundreds of shoes for Sneaker Impact, which refurbishes sneakers for distribution in developing countries and impoverished areas or recycles the rubber for playground material if the shoes can no longer be used. There is a box in the Temple lobby for anyone wishing to drop off their used sneakers.
