Pam Henderson will lead us in studying the Torah portion of the week on Zoom only. The portion is B’reshit (Gen 1:1-6:8) – the very beginning.  Yes, we start a new cycle of studying the Torah in this New Year. OUR JEWISH HERITAGE @ 12:00 p.m.

We will continue our study of Our Jewish Heritage,... learning about the last Jewish rule over the land of Israel: the Hasmoneans. The Hasmoneans ruled over an expanded definition of Israel's boundaries. The Jewish Hasmoneans ruled for about 130 years, and were the last independent Jewish rulers over the land of Israel until 1948 CE (foreign occupation from 63 BCE to 1948 CE).
