RAINBOW SHABBAT - DON’T BE A DRAG, JUST BE A QUEEN/ TORAH STUDY

Rainbow Shabbat, on Friday, March 31, 2023, begins at 6:00 p.m. with a Tot Shabbat.

At 7:00 p.m., Cantorial Soloist Raymond Zachary (they/ them) and their Drag persona Miss Livinya Karr, will join Cantor Jessica Hutchings for a Service filled with love, pride and tons of sass.

At 8:15 p.m. – “Talk Back” Session – Q&A and Discussion

Raymond is a classically trained countertenor who has sung in more than 20 synagogues and performed as the lead singer of Klezmer band Mostly Kosher at Disneyland. Raymond is also an award-winning musical theater actor and Drag Queen.

On Saturday, April 1, from 8:45 a.m. - 10:15 a.m., CNT will also host an extended Torah Study on ZOOM with Rabbah Rona Matlow honoring Transgender Visibility Day followed by a brief Minyon Service.
