Join Congregation Ner Tamid for Shabbat Shira on Friday, February 7, at 7:00 p.m.

Rabbi Sanford Akselrad and Cantor Jessica Hutchings will discuss the contributions of women clergy and song writers through the prism of Parashat B’shalach (the Torah portion which commemorates the crossing of the Red Sea and Miriam’s song).

This special Shabbat will also celebrate 50 years of women in the Cantorate and feature songs by female composers and insights from Cantor Hutchings.

Rabbi Akselrad will give a special sermon discussing the courage of Jewish women who have been sources of inspiration.
